The progressive computerization of transport processes, the development of telematics and embedded systems and the prevalence of cyber-physical systems in production automation paves the way for full integration of all segments of the logistics chain, from supply chain through production support and logistics, to warehousing and distribution.

In BetterSolutions we support the approach of Logistics as a Service (LaaS), according to which the services and components essential for the management of transport are available in the cloud (cloud computing). This approach allows scalability, easy integration with the infrastructure of physical objects (internet of things) and the effective implementation of the expected component configuration to support specific aspects of logistics, according to the specific requirements of the end user.

In this way, we develop technologies that help to integrate processes usually owned by different entities participating in the logistics chain.

The whole solution consists of the platform, which offers specialized web-services dedicated to the logistics industry, API (based on HTTP and REST), and physical objects (things).

This physical layer covers not only cars, but also a whole range of additional equipment and infrastructure relevant to the tasks performed in logistics domain (loading ramps, warehouses, factories, vehicles special equipment, harbour).

The tools that we offer include electronic maps, fleet management systems, tools supporting transport planning, vehicle navigation modules and vehicle routing technologies enabling significant reduction of overall fuel consumption.
